He was a class act. The pressures and conflicts of his job were probably inconceivable to any but his peers.
I may have been revolted by, and disgusted with, the message, but always impressed with the skill and aplomb of the messenger.
Like SOME of the bloggers here on propeller.....

Tony Snow, the former White House press secretary and conservative pundit for FOX News television and radio, died after a long bout with cancer. He was 53.
Former White House Press Secretary Tony Snow defended Bush's 19 percent approval rating, saying the public once "hated" Lincoln.
He enjoyed correcting (or attempting) jounalists grammar during press conferences.
Some people called him Snow Job, but regardless he was a human being.

Tony Snow is the only White House Press Secretary of any administration (Republican or Democratic) to make me laugh out loud. Granted, sometimes it was due to one of his gaffes but more often it was because he was a genuinely funny guy. I loved the way he lobbed corny sarcastic jabs at the WH press corp because it was usually in a good-natured way (as opposed to being condescending). He was like the goofy guy you knew in high school and thought was a total jerk but you couldn't *not* laugh when he deliberately picked the wrong moment to wisecrack. I didn't agree with him politically but anyone who can make me laugh can't be all bad. I am sure he touched many lives, and will be greatly missed. I wish his family well.

I recently lost a friend to bile duct cancer, and, have a couple of friends battling cancer right now. This isn't good news for the one with a return of lymphoma. She puts on a brave face, but, I know the poor girl is terrified. She knows my girlfriend died of breast cancer, but, I'll never tell her the last days of it, for HER sake, just incase she's not successful at shrinking her latest tumor in her chest. Why petrify her? By the way, I've heard that heating the body up to a certain temperature will kill the cancer cells before it will kill you, making you cancer free. But, is this true, or, quackery? I'd let my cancer fighting friends on this, but, they are hearing so many things, WHY torture them with a feeling of being side-tracked OFF of something that might actually work for them? Besides, the heat therapy, again, could be quackery.

Is this woman taking especially good care of her nutrition and health in general? sometimes we can heal ourselves. I have suffered with different ailments throughout my life. and, the one book that I found to be most helpful and insightful is:
"Prescriptions for Nutritional Healing"

this addresses individual conditions and gives specific suggestions on how to treat it. (I strongly recommend this book because it helped me to overcome endometriosis; I suffered over 20 years. A friend told me about this book and I applied the recommendations. When I returned to tell my doctor, he practically laughed at me. I never went back to him again.)
I apologize for being off-topic. I think we could be doing much more for our health. There is a whole section on cancer.

Tony Snow was a class act, he was the kind of guy that gave this world some sort of hope. Always had a positive outlook and today, Heaven has a new news anchor.
I think that in a world where everyone seems to seeking leadership, he was the guy who offered leadership.

I didn't know much about Tony Snow, I was too young and when I came into the whole thing he seemed to me to be a liar and more than a bit of a jerk. Apparantly however he was a funny person, something I haven't heard or read about yet. Regardless of all of that, he is still a human and still to the best of my knowledge, a good person. I may not have agreed with his politics or many of his beliefs but I do believe that deep down there can be good inside us all, R.I.P. Tony Snow.

wow, I got negged six times for just stating that when I first encountered him he seemed arrogant. I guess you six trolls just wanted flowing "he was a goooooodddddd" endorsements. Sorry, I'm more fair than that. I felt that what I said was quite nice and quite appropriate. If you disagree, that's your perrogative, but it won't stop me from thinking you quite screwed up in the head.
