Iraq's prime minister said Monday his country wants some type of timetable for a withdrawal of American troops included in the deal the 2 countries are negotiating. It was the first time that Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has explicitly and publicly called for a withdrawal timetable - an idea opposed by President Bush.

    If al-Maliki can hang in there and hold corporate america off until after the election, he will have his timetable. This something that the Iraqi's voted for 18 months ago, but that would derail the gravey train.

        BAGHDAD - Iraq's national security adviser said Tuesday his country will not accept any security deal with the United States unless it contains specific dates for the withdrawal of U.S.-led forces."

        "The White House said Monday it did not believe Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki was proposing a rigid timeline for U.S. troop withdrawals."
