      She's a very lucky woman, as are the rest of the hostages, being held for 6 years, and not knowing if they would ever be released.

      I hope they don't have too many problems re-connecting with their families.

        I wonder how many Americans know anything about the history of Columbia? For example, when the FARC negotiated a peace agreement with the right-wing government in the 1980s, the result was that about 20,000 people were assassinated by the right-wing government including hundreds of trade unionists.

        I wonder how many Americans know that the present Columbian government is run by right-wing parmilitaries heavily involved in drug trafficking, including members of the President Uribe's family.
