The blistering report, prepared by the Justice Department's inspector general, is the first in what will be a series of investigations growing out of last year's scandal over the firings of nine United States attorneys. It appeared to confirm for the first time in an official examination many of the allegations from critics who charged that the Justice Department had become overly politicized during the Bush administration.
"Many qualified candidates" were rejected for the department's honors program because of what was perceived as a liberal bias, the report found. Those practices, the report concluded, "constituted misconduct and also violated the department's policies and civil service law that prohibit discrimination in hiring based on political or ideological affiliations."

And, of course, the "personal responsibility", pullyourse... advocates responded to that news with stony SILENCE. The people who p!ss and moan about "socialism" have nothing to say about the Bushco affirmative action program for disadvanted white evangelicals wingers. What a shocker...

Evil knows no boundaries. It will do whatever it takes to win. Since it has no conscience or moral limiting factors. It is free to act as evil as men will permit.
Look at what has happened to the world over the last 45 years. We have seen a slew of political assinations and coups. The right and left radicals have gone at each other with no holds, barred killing millions of people world wide.
Each secure in its' sick reasoning that it is right. Forcing people to choose one way or another, or to have no voice at all. Neither is right. Political answers by these foul liars are always compromises that end up costng someone freedom, money, or their life on down the line.
We must seriously consider what has led us believe these lying evil murderers. We must get back to a middle ground where we stray neither right or left. But remain on the straight and narrow path. The one where there is one law for all. Not special ones for the wealthy and powerful, nor rewarding laziness.

Thanks, I missed that. I was, for instance, stunned not to see this front and center on C-SPAN this morning. The resolution, more or less, of a story that dominated the headlines for weeks last year. But I'm also disappointed that the Democrats apparently haven't seized this by the horns. I'm not for pure politicking for its own sake but this is a legitimate matter that had/has/will have far-reaching consequences for our justice system.
Having said all that, I've been boycotting much tv lately because of the endless Obama assault-athon against Obama.

This is only a piece of the iceberg! As time goes by, we will discover more crooked dealings! Looking at how they handle disasters to date, speaks volumes.
Thanks engineer!

John Ashcroft changed the hiring practices of the dept of justice (on the QT, of course). All roads lead to the Federalist Society, and a three decades plan by its members to infiltrate our judiciary on every level. This infiltration by treasonous people extends beyond the bush administration. They aren't going away after November.

Examples need to be made. This practice should be discouraged with the prosecution of those involved. If not, this precedent may continue and if you have no confidence in the impartiality of law then the basis for our Constitution and democracy has failed.

History will judge this administration harshly. The republicons are the most corrupt, morally bankrupt politicians in 100 years.
