Hi Red,
Sen. Kennedy is a wicked man. I have prayed that God would remove him from his position in government.
I don't feel sorry for him at all.
Sen. Kennedy is for every type of abortion there is: http://www.votesmart.org/voting_category.php?ca...

No book of spells, mesodude. I know the real God, the One who created everything and everyone. And yes, I have prayed that God would remove that man from his position. And if that means illness or ??? .... Whatever God sees fit for it to take.
Abortion is just as bad as what Hitler did. Anyone who is in power in government and promotes the brutal murders of hundreds of thousands of innocent unborn babies, is no better.
Why is pulling apart a baby limb by limb, or burning a baby alive with a saline solution, okay, as long as the baby is inside the womb?
And why is it okay to induce labor and stab a baby in the back of his head, to suck his brains out, any less of an evil than what Hitler did?
Wake up, America!

--Debs, why, after all these years, do you anti-abortion cult members still think that if you always deliberately fixate on the rarest of procedures, that others will be fooled or bowled over by your stance? Seriously, why do you do this? Do you have some evidence that exaggerating and lying is advancing your movement? Why can't you see that when you are caught exaggerating, misrepresenting facts, and lying with wild abandon (as many on the right often do) you demonstrate that you absolutely cannot be trusted and no one will believe a single word you say?

mesodude,
By all means, please give us all examples of what are "common" practices of killing of the unborn. Do tell us, how is the average execution of the unborn carried out?
And tell us why it is okay to execute a baby being to begin with.

In the name of DebraJMSmith, and to serve Jesus Christ my personal savior and redeemer, today I have donated $10,000 to a fund to provide abortions for poor women and girls who otherwise could not afford them.
Praise be to God!

No thanks, Debbie. I'm sorry but you're boring. This story is about Ted Kennedy being taken to the hospital and I've already already over-indulged your little warped preoccupation with abortion. Maybe you can find someone else to listen to your rambling over on the Music, Food, Gadgets & Tech, Travel, Real Estate or Autos channels. I'm sure you'll figure out a way to weave your favorite subject into a totally unrelated story elsewhere. Ta ;-)

See? That's just it, mesodude.
Ted Kennedy is the subject. And the reason he is a subject to begin with is, is that he is a U.S. Senator. Hence, what he has done as such, does weigh in.
If he were just a regular person, there would be no thread on this news site about him going to the hospital.
And clearly, I made a valid point, concerning your other post to me.
Have a nice Sunday,
Debra...

What line, DebraJMSmith? What line?
All I have done is, in response to your cowardly attacks on an ill individual is to back up your comments and accusations with actions expressing your dedication to the cause you so determine is important enough to require you to disrupt discussion on an ill individual with wishes and prayers of death. All I ask you to do is put your money where your mouth is or keep your mouth shut. All I ask of you is to show that you are not a coward but a person of conviction, faith, honesty and the spirit of the Lord.
But you fail...instead, you accuse me of 'crossing a line' and thus fabricating a fake excuse to run and hide. Fine, DebraJMSmith, hide...it is a sure way to confess your hypocrisy and cowardice.
I recommend you open your heart to the message of the Christ...you might learn humility and love...

"Would you have felt this way about someone praying that God would remove Hitler from his government position?"
Yes I would. To pray to God(!) for the murder and death of another, whomever that individual might be, is as perverse as can be. That is the sphere of the profane and you place in the hands of God! Have you no shame?
As for your attempt to place this whole issue in one place, that of your religio-political perspective on 'abortion', nuts! Tell me, DebraJMSmith, just how many children have you adopted personally and have raised? I'm curious to see just how committed you are to your pretense of faith, your self righteous piety. I'm calling you out, DebraJMSmith, I'm calling you out on this issue.
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? HOW MANY CHILDREN HAVE YOU ADOPTED?
Note: If you haven't, go do so. Put your 'faith' and money where your prideful and hateful mouth is. Praise God by your actions, not your hate!

Ciera Marie,
Adoption is not an issue that has anything to do with Kennedy. Abortion is, however.
Am I to believe that you wish to help children by promoting adoption, but if they are not able to be adopted, you wish them to be aborted?
That is the only reason that can make any sense as to why you are asking your question at this time.
And for the record, I have not spoken against any mothers on this thread, for getting abortions. Most mothers who get abortions, are victims of the abortion lie and regret what happened. (I have been known to speak against mothers who are do not regret such, however.)

You are a liar...
The issue here is Kennedy and the medical issue he has suffered.
You have instead turned this into a a prayer for his suffering and death because he holds a different political viewpoint as do you. Thus, as a red herring, you turn the issue to abortion and lay the deaths of millions who were never born at his doorstep.
Yet what have you done but complain and pray for the worst? Nothing!!
That is where the adoption issue comes in. Either you stand up and DO something or you shut your mouth. You refuse to do anything but whine and condemn. I challenge you to take the position of saving these children rather than asking the Lord of Peace to suffer a man to die, regardless that man.
You raise earlier the issue of Hitler. What of Pat Robertson and the babies his money helped disfigure and murder in Nigeria? Have you prayed to your Lord Mammon to take out Pat Robertson? Or Bush? or Cheney?

I am politically 180Ã;â;;Ã;º different than Ted Kennedy. With that said I can not NOT wish him well for any reason. If he has faults and has done wrong God will sort through the details with Mr. Kennedy just as he will me. I wish him no harm, I wish him a speedy recovery and hope if he does come through this ordeal he will have a change of heart in all the right places. My thoughts are with him and his family at this time.

Red,
I want whatever it takes to stop the murders of the unborn. And if God takes out every person holding office who is responsible for those murders --so-be-it.
Abortion is war. It is war on the unborn. I hope God takes out every last one of them responsible.
I do realize that some people come to the point of salvation and change. And that is great. However, in the mean time, my heart goes out to the innocent unborn. I just cannot pity murderers. And all of those who hold office and vote for abortion, are murderers. I cannot pity them if they die, or at least are put out of office.
I realize that this is hard for some to conceive. But, just as others cannot understand me, I have a hard time with people pitying a murderer.
A person in office who votes for the murder of the unborn, is no less guilty than Hitler was, when he ordered the murders of thew Jews. It is their voices that are causing the murders.

This is a different religion. It is not christianity. It is the fetus cult.
Fetus cult followers feel that they have identified the most sacred (a child unsullied by the sinful birth canal) and they have no compunction about lying or even killing in the name of their amniotically damp diety.

What about the people who voted for the death of the born? This administration has sent over 4,000 of our own troops to be murdered. And they have been accomplices in the deaths of hundreds of thousands in Iraq and Afghanistan. What does that make them? If, in your own words, "A person in office who votes for the murder of the unborn, is no less guilty than Hitler was" then what about the people in office who voted for the deaths of the already born?

I am speaking about the murdering of the innocent unborn -- simply because they are unwanted. And Sen. Kennedy voted for that, over and over again.
I am not talking about casualties of war. Not many, want to see innocent killed in war. No one wants to see innocent killed in road accidents either.

To show the difference between what we are doing:
I am simply stating something. I make no statements as to whether you are right or wrong on this issue. I simply state that its not your place to judge the Senator. That is the job of the Lord. In this case I mean judge as in condemn his actions. I never condemned your actions. I just stated that its not your place to judge him.
You, however, actively prayed for the Senator to be removed from office. That presumes you know the will of the Lord in the matter. You don't know that the Lord plans on removing him. He could see the error of his ways and change his attitude on abortion. This could, conceivably, lead to soul searching in many individuals and lead to changes in their attitudes. You, however, presumed that you knew that the Lord wanted him from office and prayed for this. A judgment. I don't condemn it. I understand it. I've done so to people as well.

Mediar,
My prayer was biblically in accordance with God's Word. Scripture says that God hates the hands that shed innocent blood. Scripture also says that God hates the wicked. Scripture also says that one day the children of the Lord, will look to find the wicked, and they won't be anymore. Scripture also has a stern warning about not defending the defenseless. And God says that it is an abomination to Him, to defend the wicked and condemn the righteous (in Christ).
I could go on and on here. But that pretty much says it all.

Likewise, Deb...however your position seems far closer to the positions of the 'scribes and the Pharasees' than the preachings of Jesus Christ...remember; Jesus was a Nazarine; and without sin...although he kicked money changers and merchants out of his Fathers Temple...and he cursed a fig tree so it withered and died...shows that even He could get a bit ticked at times...remember when the Pharasees dragged the "Woman caught in adultery" to try to get Him to order her death???(Ever wonder why the guy was never mentioned???Jewish Law required the death by stoning for BOTH...A couple of Rabbis confirmed that back then the guy often "escaped" while the woman was dragged away to beyond the gates then stoned to death!!!)
If Jesus refused to condemn the woman caught in adultery, why do you think he would condemn Ted Kennedy for violating YOUR beliefs???

Oh, you added to your post, after I left a simple -- :)
grr....
Okay, I will respond to your question.
The woman was sorry for what she had done. And Jesus said to her, "Go and sin no more." --This means that the woman was as any person today who repents and calls on Jesus for forgiveness (in truth).
If Sen. Kennedy does that, he too would be forgiven by Jesus Christ. And, he too, would be told, "Go and sin no more." ("Go and sin no more," means to stop doing what a person is doing. A person will still mess up, but on a whole that person does not sin as a practice.) So, Kennedy would stop voting for abortion, if he truly repents.
But, if Kennedy never repents of his sins, which includes calling on Jesus Christ in truth, for salvation, then he will end up in hell.
I just want him out of office. I want all of those who are responsible for the brutal murders of the unborn, out of office.

lol... Don't kid yourself. Religion is the driving force behind everything. What a person believes, is what makes that person who he/she is. One cannot leave who he/she is on the door step of decision making.
If someone has no belief, then that person is shallow, thoughtless, and has no reason for doing anything.

Wow! You really are sick and disturbed.
First, without making a joke about the Senator and his car, name me ONE unborn individual whom he has killed? Oh, and your argument of his vote being his weapon, beware...you will not win that.
Why?
Let's start by examples current. YOU. Why? Because you ardently support a 'Leader' whose actions have led to the slaughter of uncounted already born babies. (why do you pay such detail to those unborn but don't care at all about babies born?) Not to mention his active selling off the sovereignty of our nation to corporate interests.
Do you support (worship) the Rev. Pat Robertson? He's a butcher. What is your feelings about his mortality? Do you care at all for his funding & support of the dictator Charles Taylor and the atrocities he committed? Should we wish the same horrid fate on him as well?
You are sick and pervert the word of Christ through your hatred in his name...the TRUE PERVERSION.

The unborn are sacred - the born, not so much. Sullied by contact with the birth canal, and inconvenient at best. Born humans do things we don't like. Fetuses are easily idealized, they are not pooping their diapers oar crying, and the Fetus Cult has reinvented fetuses to be cuddly little ET-looking things. If they saw a real 10 week fetus they would run screaming.

Natureboy,
They have pictures of what babies look like at that stage of pregnancy, and the baby looks like a baby --a very small baby.
They are very real. Babies are real whether they are in the womb or out of the womb. They are very real. And we are too educated of a people to think otherwise.
Anyone holding office should know as well --or they should not be in office voting on the unborn babies' existences.

I have seen the real thing, and I have seen the Fetus Cult's fake rubber effigies of ten week old fetuses. There is no comparison, one to the other. The fetus at that stage has a head that takes up a third of its total size, and its face is not recognizably human. You have drunk the koolaid, Debra, there is no mistaking it.

Debra, your post, the addition of condemning a man to suffering and death through your perception of his legislation wherein the true issue is the health of this individual...that is where the disconnect exists.
The issue present is a long-time political figure, a public servant, has had medical issues.
You raise a false issue of connecting him to 'abortion'. THAT IS NOT THE ISSUE OF THE ARTICLE. Thus, you are going into topics not discussed but created.
You are also getting your arse roundly wiped due to that...

Then leave it up to the Lord. No matter how hard you pray he won't do your bidding. If he believes he must remove the Senator, he will. If he doesn't believe he must, then he won't. Rather then pray for him to be removed from office you should probably be praying for the strength to put up with him and others like him. Or praying for his eternal soul. The Lord does not exist to do your bidding but you may ask him for help in things you do... not to just destroy people you disagree with (be it politically or actually destroy).

Who says that they are asking God to do their bidding? Have you not prayed for God to step in and save the lives of innocents? I have. I pray everyday that the left will wake up and stop murdering babies. I prayed that the burmese government would stop the slaughter of monks a few months back. Is that asking the Lord to do my bidding?
I don't see where pianojan is saying that he wants God to kill anyone, he seems to just want him out of office. Which is fair imo.

I don't consider it fair to ask to the Lord to intervene in a situation in that manner. I do consider it fair to pray for the Senator's soul and to ask the Lord to grant him the wisdom to see the error in his ways. Which, I believe, is what Christians are supposed to do. Pray for your enemies.

I can agree with that to a certain extent. However I feel that Christians and Jews alike have always prayed for evil men to be removed from power. I know my grandmother prayed for Hitler to be removed. (While my grandfather prayed for God to help him and his men acheive that goal) Now let me also say this, I am in no way comparing Kennedy to Hitler, yet he does allow babies to be murdered. I think it would be more acceptable to say that you pray for the voters to remove him from power. Which in the end could be the same thing others on here are saying just worded differently.

Hi there, pianoian,
Thanks for the support.
This is where I get my saying, that I am "A little too conservative for some conservatives to handle."
But, I think if most conservatives think about it for a bit, they will understand it.
Everyone has a line that they draw. There are not many people who would not pray that God would take-out someone who was brutally murdering their own child.
All children matter just as much as our own.
You are a blessing to help me out here.
Thanks much,

no, Debra, you are NOT more 'conservative' for some conservatives to handle...you are just more extreme in your hatreds, your prejudices and your evil blindness and intolerance than most people.
You pray for the worst to the God of Peace for a man whom you do not know personally but whom you attribute through his legislative actions the murders of those who are not even yet born...
Yet your comments, wishing death on another of Gods children, one whom you hate, as well as your support of butchers and murderers of living children born with the unforgivable sin of not being raised in the same xenophobic and prejudiced manner as you.
Truth is, Debra, on here or elsewhere, I have rarely encountered anyone who would pervert the message of the Christ to such a disgusting degree as to pray to the Christ for the murder and death of those who are LIVING.
Now, if you really are a Christian, tell me, HOW MANY KIDS HAVE YOU ADOPTED?
or are you just a fake...
