
News – As many as 200 U.S.-trained Mexican security personnel have defected to drug cartels to carry out killings on both sides of the border and as far north as Dallas, Rep. Ted Poe, R-Humble, told Congress on Wednesday.

Sadly true, the low salaries of both military and security personel, and the alwasy tempting offer of "easy money" that drug cartels give it's a very bad combination. I'm not so happy about this Media intiative, it just give money that I'm almost sure is going to be waisted. I'd like from my govenment to really introduce well defined and effective means aganist corruption in both our military and our security offices, make them professional institutions and for the US govenment I'd just like to really hunt the drug cartels on the other side, and to stop weapons from leaking trough the border to our side. I know there are a lot of sources for arms in the black market, but the mexican drug cartels get most of their weapons from the US.
