    Interesting, and I agree in part, but I worry it could morph into the State killing 18 year olds for sleeping with 16 year olds, or something stupid like that...

      Count on it, the first time some politician's skanky 16 year old daughter got caught being diddled by her boyfriend.

      There seems to be a tendency these days to execute anyone that rubs you the wrong way, or is guilty of a crime that was deemed "abhorrent." Abhorrance is not justification to take a life, interestingly, the Good Christian daily Bible readers would be the first ones to disagree. This also doesn't provide much assurance that a rapist won't just murder the child to get rid of evidence--what the hell, he's going to be executed anyway, and with no victim, he stands a better chance of getting away with it.

      Geez that's a tough one for me. I think a lot of people would argue that raping a child is almost worse than murder.
