I'm surprised it's that high!!

avatar
Reply

Nothing to say here that hasn't been said before; the numbers speak for themselves...bye, bye, Bush...

avatar
Reply

Why are they even poling this guy. Well I would be shocked if it was higher than it is, shoot I am shocked that it's as high as it is!

avatar
Reply

Wow you gotta hand it to that guy - setting new records all the time

You took the words right out of my mouth engineer. I do not believe that it is that high. But GWB&Co. pay no attention to polls or public opinion . . . or the economy . . . or the infrastructure . . . or . . . please fell free to fill in the blanks.

He doesn't care and for sure he doesn't get it.

I'm with you, Mesodude. Embarrassed.

"I'm surprised it's that high!!"

I bet - especially with Congressional approval ratings continually lower than the president's and Harry Reid's and Pelosi's doing worse than Bush, as well.

I can't say I'm surprised Mr Aloftis chose to ignore the same poll conducted by the AP showing Congress has a dismal 23 percent approval rating. Can you say: Liberal bias??

Guess you libs better start trying to spin that one. Oh, wait, I already know it: Republican blocking! But, I thought Democrats were supposed to "reach across the aisle" LOL

avatar

Oh god get off your horse. The Repubs claimed the same thing. What's the difference? Money owns both parties.

"I bet - especially with Congressional approval ratings continually lower than the president's and Harry Reid's and Pelosi's doing worse than Bush, as well."

--You are so totally FOS (not to mention a major hypocrite), libsr. You accuse Aloftis of ignoring the same poll about which YOU yourself neglect to mention that Americans still trust Democrats to run our country over Republicans. Not only do you cherry pick which polls you'll accept as gospel, you discard the data which runs counter to your position. Unbelievable...LOL

"But, I thought Democrats were supposed to "reach across the aisle" LOL"

--And we didn't realize that Republicans think "reach out and touch someone" is an invitation to crawl around on airport restroom stall floors in search of trouser trout or stalk teen boys for sex via instant messenger (instead of doing their jobs for the taxpayers who elected them).

Yes meso - I saw another comment on here regarding a wide stance - who does that make you think of? They couldn't make this stuff up.

Why don't Republican Congressmen use bookmarks?

Libs,

Dysentery is not very popular either, but the comparison doesn't particular help Bush or make him any better as a president.

Rasmussen Poll

Just 13% of Likely Voters now say Congress is doing a good or excellent job. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 47% give Congress a poor rating (see video report).

A month ago, those figures were 13% good or excellent and 43% poor.

Guess Bush's ratings have given you indi"jest"ion, causing you to spew acid reflux rather than deal with the topic.

avatar
Reply

That's the way a conjob's tiny mind operates. Bush and those who elected him should be thoroughly ashamed of those dismal ratings but instead, the best cons here can do is defend him because his public approval rating isn't *as* horrible as that of the Congress. How sad and desperate is that?

avatar
Reply

This is a "new low" only for AP-Ipsos. Other polls have shown lower numbers.

avatar
Reply

well, I guess he won't be making money from speaches after he leaves the white house, who'd pay an unpopular ex-president?

avatar
Reply

If Karl Rove can get 40 grand for going on stage and getting booed and heckled, I think it's safe to say Bush won't have any problems.

avatar
Reply

For 40 grand, they can boo, heckle, and curse me all they want! Hell, they can even throw rotten tomatos! I'll even supply the tomatos.

28% approve of a bankrupt country, a war based on lies, a 10 trillion national debt, outsourced jobs, no pension or medical benefits, and the torture of detainees!

Who are these people?

avatar
Reply

And yet we ALL accused him of being a lier when he said he was a "Uniter". See, he was right! He's united 72% of the US behind him.

Way to go "W"!

avatar
Reply

I hear ya. Does that mean that 28% of the country is incompetent? Amazing. Talk about blind faith ideologues.

You'd be surprised. Ignorance is at epidemic proportions!!

Let you in on a little secret: Mr Bush is not here for a popularity contest. He does not care about polls, or ratings.

His job is to (protect) this country, the rest is media fodder. His job is the most thankless job on the planet.

avatar
Reply

I'll bet the corporations he helped will reward him handsomely for their windfall the 8 years he's been in office.

avatar
Reply

"His job is the most thankless job on the planet."

Especially when he does such a crappy job at it.

avatar
Reply

These polls aren't asking if people think Bush would be a fun date or whether he should be Prom King or not. They're an assessment of whether or not people think he's doing a good JOB!

The job of the president is 'the most thankless'? Cry me a f**king river! Tell that to the single mother working 2 or 3 jobs scrubbing hotel toilets.

Come January, Bush'll kick back on his 'ranch', have someone ghost-write his autobiography, and sip mint juleps between $100,000-a-pop speaking engagements. As a hobby, perhaps he can mis-manage yet another business into the ground.

'Wipes aren't very bright and they come up with the lamest of rationales for deflecting criticism of this weasel's flawed policies, so often it's necessary to spell things out for them. I freely admit to wingjobs that I loathe Bush--because of the way his "leadership" has destroyed our country AND the fact that he has scarcely the brains of the average egg-laying farm animal. There. Both bases covered.

Maybe she should have thought of that before she eschewed higher education and job skills for tramping around with some guy who had no intention of marrying her.

Or maybe she lost her job due to overseas 'outsourcing'.

Maybe she was born into poverty and is doing her best to work her way out.

Maybe the man who left her and her kids high and dry didn't seem like such a jerk at the time.

Your schtick that every member of the working poor should just 'pull themselves up by their bootstraps' amounts to little more than tired rhetoric based on an ideal of America that simply doesn't exist anymore. But hey, it's all about blaming the victim, isn't it? Makes one feel better to think those living below the poverty line somehow 'deserve' it.

"Just remember this, Mr. Potter, that this rabble you're talking about... they do most of the working and paying and living and dying in this community. Well, is it too much to have them work and pay and live and die in a couple of decent rooms and a bath? Anyway, my father didn't think so. People were human beings to him. But to you, a warped, frustrated old man, they're cattle. Well, in my book he died a much richer man than you'll ever be. "

You know, most people watch 'It's a Wonderful Life' and think, "Wouldn't it be great if everyone took care of each other like that?" Others simply shake their heads and mumble, "Why did he trust that doddering old Uncle of his with that 8 grand in the first place?"

Still others live in the real world, and focus on improving their lives through hard work, personal responsibility and striving to reach goals, instead of burying their heads in a Hollywood fantasyland of derivative movies, bad television and lunkheaded celebrities.

But don't let me disturb you. I wouldn't want you to miss a single moment of "Dancing With the Stars".

Those jobs have been out sourced by the greedy wealthy -- if you will the top 1% Their degrees came from Yale and University of Pennsylvania, Princeton, etc. and cannot find jobs. Saint don't give me that crap about avoiding higher education

Obviously your friends don't live in the real world either.

It is called life. Sometimes you have to earn your keep. maybe if your friends weren't producing such crap, then the funding would have been there. Today's students do not posess the same abilities to think that students coming out of our universities posessed years ago. Who de we blame? The teachers. How de we fix it? Cut their funding. Problem solved, in this case...
