Shiite anger mounts in Iraq amid clashes

News – Iraqi officials reported 17 more people killed in overnight clashes in Baghdad's main Shiite district of Sadr City and raised the number of deaths from fighting in the southern city of Hillah to at least 60.

Said it before and I'll say it again US military does not control what is going on in Iraq ( laughable surge). The Iraqis will end the violence when they want to because when they go at it ( Suni v Shiite ) American troops have to step aside or risk being caught in the cross fire. I guess the shiites have had enough peace for the moment and it's back to business as usual, and again the troops better step aside or risk a direct onslaught from both fighting groups of shiites. If memory serves me right, didn't the US military train, armed and funded the shiites against the sunis? Well I'm sure the shiites will put into good use that training they got and the weapons they were given.
