"bleeding liberals"??
It's bleeding heart.
stupid and angry comment..
When will you (if ever) realize that Bush has been a divisive, moron who refuses to listen to professional economists, military leaders or former members of his cabinet?
Oh, you don't know by now??
Then I guess you never will..
Wait till Colin Powell's book comes out!
We bombed Serbia because they were the bad guys..
The whole world was with us, are you??
Oh no, that's right, you don't hate them, you're just afraid of liberals??
Why, because they're smarter than you??|
Haven't you noticed? Everyone is a liberal now..
All 72% of us who believe that bush is doing a lousy job.
Congratulations, you're clinging on to your pathetic loyalties to the hate mongers and fools who still apologize for Bush and blame Clinton. how does it feel to be a member of one of the smallest and possibly dumbest minority in America? You're dwindling fast. (and for good reason)
Bye bye!!
You got McCain now!!

Sorry, son, I'm just a citizen. If I had any say-so in government he would have been long gone, but I don't, so......

What makes one ruler any better than the next or the next elected one? Case in point George W Bush. Democracy is a word used or I should say misused much these days. There is such thing as a elected dictatorship and history shows it is no different than one forced upon the people. It has been thousands of years since the world has experienced true democracy at work. Look to the Greeks to see how it should be done.

Jay-What makes you think they were permitted to vote? Voting wasn't permitted in Kosovo under Serb rule. It's just like Michigan and Florida Democratic votes don't count with their own party anymore.
Look to the Greeks? You perhaps should watch the PBS special dealing with ancient Athens. If you were a free male, property owner and a citizen of Athens you were permitted to vote. If you were someone from their conquered city states you had no rights, no vote and were heavily taxed. Athens had a huge slave population with all of the evils imaginable.
As to the United States, we're a representative republic. We have two major parties and a bunch of smaller ones. Our president is limited to 2 4 year terms. It's too bad our Senate and House doesn't have the same provision. Our President isn't a dictator.

Your post are so insightful into how you have been seeing the world and why people such as yourself some how thing your better then the rest. First of all who is the "they" in your first line? I never made any reference to Serb voting at all.
If your only source of information is PBS and the Internet than that explains much about you. Go get some books and read up on who represented the public in the Athenian Democracy. Now I didn't say all people were entitled to vote did I? All citizens had a vote and all citizens sat on the counsels at least once. Add to that people who got to powerful could and were routinely removed from politics for long terms or life making it truly run by all the voting members and not just one or two powerful people. While the requirements for being a citizens were wrong the system was in fact run by all the citizens for all the citizens.
And yes the shrub is a dictator because he goes against the will of the people for his own personal gains.

When you think back, it really is amazing the the ol' Tito was able to keep the former Yugoslavia together while he was alive. For part of the period during which he was doing it he was dodging assassination attempts by Stalin too.

You would think it wouldn't work but some how with veto's and executive signing privileges he does it. I don't put much stock in either party, they bother are run by big business. Look up and see where there money comes from and they are not that far apart really. It's all an illusion really, nothing is left up to the average joe to decide.

Jay, are the public schools in Canada really that bad? If our president really was a dictator, we would have ignored the middle east and invaded you guys. You have more oil than most of the middle east. Your military, while very well trained wouldn't do well against an massive American attack. If Bush was this really bad guy you seem to dream about, we would have take you over. We're not, we're only bringing freedom to a formerly oppressed people. Too bad Canada forgot that freedom is worth fighting for and helping others win too.
