Posted by: webspell 7 months, 1 week agoHillary Clinton now feels that both the Democratic campaigns of her and barrack Obama must have a focus on concerning issues and there is no point in fighting with each other. She was referring the feeling of the former President Bill Clinton who was quoted saying that he might have gone too far in attacking Barack Obama.Addressing and participatin

Actually, there is no proven causal link between Bill's "attacks" and the results in SC. For all we know, she could have done worse without an open discussion of Obama's failure to commit to a vote, for example (134 "present" votes) and Obama's lack of experience and potential naivete. And Bill's correct analysis of the fact that blacks in SC would likely vote for Obama, White Women for Hillary, and White males for Edwards, turned out to be dead on accurate.
If Bill says it, it's an attack. But if the media says the exact same thing, it's analysis.
It will be interesting to see what the real effect is. In the long term, I think Clinton's comments have been really mild and the media has exaggerated them because they have presumed that he is to sit back and defer to some unwritten decorum of ex-Presidents.

This is a new day. There has never been an ex-President whose spouse ran for President. All bets are off. So are the gloves when it comes to campaigning. When he lies, let me know. Otherwise, attacking is what is done in campaigns and legitimately so, as long as they are true and the voter can determine if they are relevant, NOT the media.

trizine, yes they can race and see who becomes the richest. Both are known lying thieves yet America will overlook their corrupt crony past with ignorance.
Edwards for President, he already has enough money and their is no necessity to represent Corporate America, lobbyist or slumlords.

They need a truce. Each is afraid that the other will tell the truth. ie: Hillary's only qualification (and her record shows it) is being a wife of Bill. Obama's record is a featherweight who is black. Oh yea, and Edwards is still a trial lawyer. The only thing going for any of them is they are not Bush.

In all fairness, none of them are "featherweights". Any of them would make great presidents. Not just a replacement of a dismal Bush, but great!
To suggest Hillary's only qualification is as first lady, well, that's ridiculous. And I will not even dignify the suggestion that race is the only thing Obama has going for him. He is truly amazing! And John Edwards has great ideas and a big heart. The fact he has made a good living representing the downtrodden all his life, is just a testament to the greatness of America and to Edwards commitment.

Taken aback by Hillary's charges against Obama.
True facts about the slum lord and Obama and divisive Hillary is not right for America and not being the shining beacon Obama led us to believe, he can go to work for Rezco by defending him on embezzlement charges.
Absolutely no more Republicanism.
Edwards, only one left. At least he earned his money rather than Hillary and Bill who became rich on their political careers while Obama has ambitions for money while being the hypocrite of the century.

Nelson your comment has some merit, I too would seriously consider Edwards over the other two at the moment..but the show isn't over yet. Watching and waiting...patiently.
The current republican candidates appear to be more of the same, with the exception of Ron Paul.
We really do need a change..

AntiNeoCon, totally agree. I was for Obama but not now and it has nothing to do with race but he lied in the debate when he said he only worked five hours for that slumlord. To me his true characteristics are just beginning to be exposed and I expect more dirt will be coming out. It is so hard to have hope's, dreams and prospects for a better future for America with true change and then reality sets in and you see the hypocrisy exposed. So, so sad for we Americans.

I don't trust Hillary, she'll say or do anything to win. Edwards has shown me nothing. He did nothing to help the campaign in 2004 and I don't see him doing anything now. He talks about working for the poor but what does he know about being poor? And what will he do for them?
Obama gives me hope because he is the only one in the race that will consider all sides of argument. He is not a divider like all the others. As for inexperience, I'm personally tired of what all the "experienced politicians have done (or not done). It's high time for some "inexperience" in Washington considering what all the "experience" has done so far.

SC results and Caroline Kennedy give Obama the upper hand at this point.
He is energizing young people and the Clinton tag team can't match that.
