Not to sound insensitive, but there are signs for a reason, he should've heeded the warning sign concerning alligators being in the immediate vicinity.

            Don't worry. Alligators are doomed.

People building into their habitat and killing them, while rising water levels from global warming cover most of their breeding grounds, just about ought to do it.

It's going to be people that doom these creatures. Alligators have survived extreme climate changes for millions of years and find ways of adapting to survive. Humans kill everything.

I don't think anyone will be paving over the everglades any time soon. Aside from it being a protected area, where would they get that much dirt?

Gee, I wonder what that sign "Beware of Alligators", means?

Oh well, I think I will go snorkeling.

I feel for the guy because he got his arm bit off, but sometimes we just need to use our common sense.

You nailed it Alfalfa. Common sense. Something lacking in the animal rights movement.

Undoubtedly the man crawled out of the shallow end of the gene pool, but to turn this story into a platform for the global warming freaks is about what I would expect from Greenpeace and peta and the ilk. Get a life!!!!!
