There are lots of reasons why I think "maybe I shouldn't be here" on MySpace. My age is low on the list though.

Horrible designs, illegible content, obnoxious autoplaying music/videos, and the fact that MySpace is just a cesspool for spammers would all be much higher on my list.

Well, I think the age demographic might have something to do with all those "horrible designs, illegible content, etc." People of the demographic that site is pitched to are willing to put up with all that, but the boomj crowd isn't interested.

Screw the bars, I'm going to this Boomj site to find some computer literate Cougars! "All I wanna know is one thing... who's coming with me?"

Great idea, I I'm looking forward to market to the Generation Jones via the Boomj network.

i was born oct. 1945 so that puts me in this catagory. my problem is i don't trust the advertising or the product's sold on the internet. i have purchased several item's such as clothing, printer cartridge's and other small item's and they all turned out to be JUNK,JUNK,JUNK, therefore, i will never buy from the internet again!

I'm thinking perhaps you need to deal with reputable vendors instead of eBay hucksters and infomercial people. Most the time if you wind up with trash, it's your own fault for trying to save a buck.

The cartoonist Tom Tomorrow called this "lost generation" "a slim demographic wedge sandwiched between the baby boomers and generation X". He then proceeded to dub us "Wedgies".

As a member of "Generation Jones" (born in '58) I applaud stuff like this. As we get older suddenly we are going to be noticed and catered to more as our own separate demographic. Thanks for posting this!

this article has a lot in common with Turgenev's "Parents and children"
