News – Nine men accused of stockpiling bomb-making chemicals and vowing to avenge perceived injustices against Muslims have been ordered to stand trial for Australia's largest alleged terrorist conspiracy, a court official said Tuesday.
"Prosecutors said at the pretrial hearing that the nine suspects bought unrestricted chemicals that can be used in making explosives, and downloaded instructions from the Internet that included how to mix the cocktail of agents used to make the bombs used in the deadly 2005 London subway attacks."
This is scary that anyone can conjure up documents from the internet with the potential to destroy massive amounts of human beings.
What a sick sect! All in the name of God!
There is a brand new book, God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything: by Christopher Hitchens. It is a good read on this subject. Even if your a believer in supernatural bronze age sky god tales, you can't really argue that more atrocity is committed in the names of gods of one variety or another, than anything else.
Feel free not to believe, it is your right. As for me, I choose to believe. The ban religion movement around the world has forgotten that faith in something bigger than ourselves has always been a motivating factor for human development.
Mowalive:
I too am a believer. However you can deny what Radio has said in his comment. What do you call the Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition? How about what the Christian church has done to Native Americans? 6-7 different Christians faiths saying the ones before were wrong and they're right. That's confusing for me as well.
I completely disagree. If it weren't for religion, there would be no moral system. The difference between right and wrong would disappear, and complete anarchy would rule.
The problem is that there are cases when religion is used as a justification for wrongdoings. As with any tool, it can be used, or abused. We see both, only the abuse is always more prevalent due to the damage and destruction it can cause.

Prosecutors said at the pretrial hearing that the nine suspects bought unrestricted chemicals that can be used in making explosives, and downloaded instructions from the Internet that included how to mix the cocktail of agents used to make the bombs used in the deadly 2005 London subway attacks.
Prosecutors allege the nine were devotees of a radical Muslim cleric sympathetic to Osama bin Laden, and struck a pact to launch a terrorist attack because they felt their religion was under attack.
