Liberals know who take glee at Arabs dying.
The Iraq civil war is the responsibility of the occupation governement. By not providing security for the populace the Administration insured this difficult situation developed.

There were those back in 02 and 03 who said all hell would break loose, that this would not be a cakewalk, that we would not be greeted as liberators with flowers and kisses. Blaming peace protestors is pathetic. The great Bush, commander and chief of the greatest military of all time, has been humbled by a rag tag bunch of insurgents with homemade bombs.
Even though dems in congress are all worked up they'll still fund the troops. Bush will get his surge.
You better hope the surge works. Bush has no one to blame but himself.

I blame anti-democratic forces in the Arab world.
Now is not the time to abandon the Iraqi people to these murderers.

You haven't been paying attention
The Iraqi people are the murderers.
The mention of Al-quaeda comes up and suddenly Bush's occupation is justified.
Well the investigation is ongoing as to who is responsible.
Funny but recently a group of ultra fundemental Shiites began blowing up mosques belonging to every day run of the mill shiites. You just can't keep score without a scorecard.
At least the kurds are out of this one.

In Iraq, yes his Administration is responible. As soon as we became the occupation force the security of the occupied territory and the protection of it's citizens is the responibility of the occuping forces. The war started as soon a Bremer took over from Gen. Garner and reversed plans to keep the Iraqi military and police intact.

By releasing the police and the Army in one week Bremmer gave the various militias 800,000 recruits. With not enough troops on the ground the situation deteriorated into a tick for tack retailation across the country. It did indeed escalate when that Mosque was blown up. Hundreds of Iraqis were being killed each week. After the bombing that went up to hundreds per day so I can see your point.
Would this civil war have happened if we had not invaded and occupied Iraq?
Would those kids that were blown to bits by these sick f----ers be alive if we had not?

Yes Bush did it. He toppled an unjust cruel and capricious tyrant whose iron hand and unjust use of power held together factions who would never have consented of their own free wills to be part of one nation. The rule of the primarily theocratic Shiite majority by the largely secular Sunni/Baathist minority had so enraged the former that all they sought for was an opportunity for revenge and a way out.
Saddam Hussein had driven the the Shiites to revolution by attacking their Shiite brethern in Iran on our behalf in the 80s (to punish Iran for taking our hostages) with WMDs we supplied--and which he then turned on the revolutionaries, the Shiites and the minority Kurds who tried to take advantage of the aftermath of our first attacks to rebel.
Instead of setting up three states Bush insisted on one democratic nation that would require the barbarism that Saddam practiced and a democracy can't. The dumb Duh?bya and his stupid followers!

Yes, the surge is going well. Watch that Parliment building surge up before it comes crashing down!
Get the UN to partition Iraq into three states as protectorates of Iran, Syria and Turkey--to which most Itaris and those countries will agree. Add Sunni Arabs from Saudi Arabia to protect Sunni Iraq if needed to offset Iran. Only require that they share the oil fields proportionally and that they provide for a safe relocation of people that do not fit into the partitions by their ethnic and/or sectarian/secular persuasions.
We must pay for that relocation and welcome with open arms any who find that partition unacceptable. That is a small price to pay for Bush meddling in Iraq's affairs for no good reason. The dam dumb fool and his supporters!

What with mass graves, rape rooms, and the predation of Saddam's sons I'm sure a whole lot of people were better off under Saddam.
And I do believe that once the head choppers get control of Iraq it will be a peaceful paradise at last.
The Kurds will be better off. The Marsh Arabs will be better off and anyone who sided with the Americans, or sided with the current government, or voted in elections will be better off.
Probably it will wind up no worse than Vietnam or Cambodia.
Think of how it will improve our foreign policy effectiveness. Siding with America will be seen for what it is: a death sentence.
The benefits of leaving Iraq will be really great for America and those who prefer democratic rule over autocracy. The lives of Iraqi women will improve and gay people will be dancing in the streets, probably at the end of ropes.
I thank the Democrats for being champions of gays, women, and democracy around the world. Great job guys!!!

That would be 5 million people who have left Iraq. I wonder were they are living.?
They can thank their Arab brothers for bringing peace to Iraq and bombs to market places and chemical gas attacks to their neighborhoods.
It is folks like that who deserve to rule Iraq.
We need to pull out at once and let them rule there. Things should improve over night.
I wonder why the evil neo-cons with their lust for oil don't see this? They are probably blinded by all their Halliburton profits.

edromar2. The only way the UN could be involved is if the Maliki government invites it in. It's unlikely that this government, despite it's obvious weakness, will recommend a partition of the nation it is supposed to be governing.

America will have to go home sooner or later and better sooner. This Iraqi government unable to function and even defend itself on their own. Iraqi forces no better than Vietnamese ARV and they have virtually nothing to fight for. But unlike Vietnam there is no power in Iraq which can take and rule the whole country. That's why this country has no future. Millions of refugees already left it.
