Air raid sirens wailed and warplanes swooped over Darwin as Australians marked the 65th anniversary of the Japanese attack on the city.More than 240 people died and thousands more fled Darwin when Japanese aircraft bombed the northern city on Feb. 19, 1942 -- the day war came to Australian soil for the first time.
