If the Republicans lose in the next elections, it will be their own fault. I'm not snivelling about it. I'm recognizing reality. The Republicans are no angels. But it's the Dems who are stroking the fires of divisiveness in our country. They have no solutions other than to tax the rich (and they get to define who's rich), disarm law-abiding Americans while sparing murderers the death penalty, and promoting hatred against their "fellow Americans". The repubs gave away our surplus on an unnessessary war instead of giving the money back to the people who earned it.(American taxpayers). So far, you haven't said anything more than what the liberal press has told us. Let's take one point - tax breaks. I got money back in my paycheck thanks to Bush. Now, maybe you consider me wealthy, but my cars are pretty old, my house isn't new, and I have to work for a living. I'm not complaining, just stating the facts. I don't think I'm wealthy. But it's not up to me. It's up to whomever has the power to tax me. Those making less than me want me to pay more. That's fair to them. But what's fair is if we all pay the same. You'll never get that from the Dems. They're the modern version of Carpetbaggers....exploiting the masses to gain power. They will solve nothing and will make things worse.
OK - so what now? Has this solved anything? If Bush was on trial, I fear I would conclude the same penalty. Yet, I disagree with the death penalty. Without redemption, there is no hope, without hope, life ends. We all need the chance for hope, even Saddam....None of us "the righteous ones" that is just so much BULL, and I fear that we do not really know the terms of this trial. The US put this man in power - are we not all responsible for what he did? Such hypocrites we are..... and Bush STILL LIES!!! and lives. Who killed more innocents? I dare ask....

I am not interested in whether Saddam finds repentence. It isn't like he crossed a couple lines and can go back, he's responsible for untold misery.
As for the US seting him up in power, no one held a gun to his head to hold a gun to everyone in his countries head, let alone told him to pull the trigger. The US only supported him in the Iran/Iraq war as the lesser of two evils.

It was the united states and britain who made saddamn hussein the butcher that he was and it is the united states and britain who are ultimately responsible for the horrendous war crimes saddamn carried out. Without US weapons of mass destruction and US involveMent in the war between iraq and iran, saddamn would have been hanged back in the early eighties after a miserable defeat against iran. Now,when is the real justice going to be carried out? There are many past and present US presidents, Cia officials,... and their cabinet members as well as british government officials who need to be tried for the same crimes as saddamn and be given the same sentence. These people supported this terrorist and they deserve the same fate.
