If not for the Mediterranean Sea, the EU would have a border problem that would make ours pale in comparison.

It does sound like the US border, only a lot less of a problem to control!

In a way it sounds like the boat people who try to get into the USA from Cuba and other Southern ports!

I guess people (good or bad) trying to bypass immigration is not just a USA problem after all!

"Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame with conquering astride from land to land....

Here at our sea-washed sunset gates shall stand, a mighty woman with a torch whose flame is imprisoned lightening, and her name Mother of Exiles.

From her beacon hand glows world wide welcome; her eyes command the air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!, cries she with her silent lips. Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free...the wretched refuse of your teeming shore...SEND THESE HOMELESS, TEMPEST LOST TO ME....I lift my my lamp beside the golden door."

As stated on the tablet, held in the left hand of the Statue of Liberty.

I suspect America will not want them.>>>>

Assuming people fleeing Cuba are 'criminals, organized crime, gangsters and terrorists' comes from impoverished minds. Obviously people must be evaluated, but not everyone can petition for entrance. Certainly not from Cuba. Or China. You'd be surprised how many Chinese people risk death to come here. That's all I have to say. I loathe wasting my time.
