Vatican 'clarifies' Pope speech »
Posted by: Ousama 1 year, 10 months agoThe Vatican has released a final version of an address by Pope Benedict XVI in Germany last month, which angered Muslims around the world.In the original speech, the Pope quoted a 14th Century Christian emperor who said the Prophet Mohammed had brought only "evil and inhuman" things.

Oct. 9, 2006, 5:23 p.m.Am I missing something here? Didn't the Pope merely quote someone? I will say that since the speech was published some of the things he said have been proven true by actions of some Muslims.

Oct. 9, 2006, 9:57 p.m.does the pope ever speak spontaneously? every word is reviewed by many people, every nuance is considered. the question is, what effect did he wish to achieve?
