Former Mass. Gov. Edward King Dies at 81 »

Oct. 23, 2006, 2:02 p.m.I remember Governor Ed King as a stauch defender for law and order during the 1980s, as a police officer, I recalled how he helped most Departments with Federal monies to improve the fight against lawlessness in the State of Massachusetts; in fact, Gov King was an honored guest at our [my] retirement ceremonies in Nov 1980...he was a fine gentleman...may God rest his soul.
